RITTERWALD on stage during Social Housing Conference in London with social housing aspects from Europe and introducing Certified Sustainable Housing Label.

Annual Social Housing Conference on December 4th was attended by 400 professionals from UK affordable housing industry. The upcoming general elections in UK made this edition special as all political parties put housing on their agenda. This made this event into a solutions-based, contents-rich business and finance conference. All major stakeholders were present and participated actively in multiple sessions.

Dr. Mathias Hain: “We are a pan-european consultancy and the UK is one of our growth markets. At this conference we could bring some European flavour to the table. Housing associations across Europe deal with same challenges regarding housing delivery and search for sustainable business models”.

In the afternoon there was a special stream on impact investment and ESG in UK social housing. In one of these sessions Lutz Rittig did present the Certified sustainable Housing Label that recently had been issues to Clarion Housing Group, UK’s largest housing association. Lutz Rittig: “We were able to share our views on measurement the impact in UK social housing and also confirmed RITTERWALD’s role in the collaborative efforts of selected housing associations and investors to develop a sector-wide ESG and impact reporting framework, coordinated by social advisory firm The Good Economy”.

RITTERWALD’s team did present itself with a stand at the conference and expanded it growing professional network in the UK affordable housing industry.
