Dr. Mathias Hain Speaks at AGFW Workshop: Quo Vadis Contracting?
The business case for heat contracting was the focus of a 2-day workshop held in Berlin by AGFW, the energy efficiency association for heating, cooling and CHP, on November 30 and December 1. Dr. Mathias Hain was an invited speaker.
There was intensive discussion of topics like:
Is there is still a veritable business case in the heating market, drawing upon the availability of subsidies or cost sharing models? And in terms of successful models, how can we make them future proof?
What is the role of renewable energies in the context of reforms to the Combined Heat and Power Generation Act (KWKG) and the Renewable Energy Act (EEG)?
What are the sustainable forms of cooperation with residential real estate companies – in an era when many of them are thinking out loud about going into power generation themselves?
Dr. Mathias Hain spoke on the subject of “Beyond Contracting: Ways of Cooperating with the Real Estate Sector” and concluded that there are many different and specific ways for residential real estate companies and energy utilities to work together.
