Climate Transition Planning in Residential Real Estate
At the European Digitisation Group in Zurich RITTERWALD presented a paper co-authored with Lookthrough, a Swiss-based AI-driven SaaS company.
The paper addresses climate transition planning in residential real estate with a special focus on affordable, viable and timely retrofitting social housing in the UK.
RITTERWALD’s partnership with Lookthrough aims to contribute to the enhancement of realistic and concise decarbonisation pathways to social and affordable housing providers and residential asset managers that align with lenders’ and investors’ climate goals and (carbon) reporting expectations.
This paper advocates for a direction of travel of housing providers adopting more standardisation in climate transition planning. One of the recommendations is to see the Carbon Risk Real Estate Monitor (CRREM) as a recommendable open-source tool.
