Immediate aid during coronavirus crisis with Patrizia Children Foundation

A question of responsibility: at the start of the global coronavirus crisis, RITTERWALD increased its long-standing support for the Patrizia Children Foundation and its educational initiatives. We as a company see it as our responsibility – especially in times of a pandemic – to help disadvantaged children all over the world.

The coronavirus is causing schools to close all around the world. This particularly affects children in poor countries, where access to education is already difficult. As a long-standing patron of the PATRIZIA Children Foundation, it was therefore a matter of course for RITTERWALD to become actively involved and support the foundation’s international coronavirus relief fund from the outset of the pandemic.

RITTERWALD’s donation helped to ensure that the work in the foundation's Children’s Centers around the world could continue and that important educational projects for disadvantaged children were not shut down. In addition to tangible investments in hygiene stations and e-learning hardware, funds from the foundation’s Corona Fund Education Healthcare were used to finance health education measures. With these funds, the Patrizia Children Foundation was able to cover the costs for the printing and distribution of a comic strip, for example. The picture story, translated into more than 20 languages, shows how children can protect themselves and others from the virus. It can be downloaded free of charge in German or in English from the Patrizia Foundation website – where donations can also be made. Children still need our attention and straightforward action.
